Our Beliefs:
Our beliefs are in accordance with denominational beliefs which can be found here. We believe that Jesus is the Son of God who died on the cross to save our sins and that whoever believes in Him shall have eternal life in heaven. As Disciples of Christ, we baptize by immersion and take communion every Sunday.
History:
The Christian Church is one of the oldest churches in Princeton. The roots of the church reach back to the "Lord's Day" on May 4, 1811, in Brush Run, a valley in Kentucky. It was there that a father and son, Thomas and Alexander Campbell, helped establish the Brush Run Church. From this group of believers and others who joined them came the brotherhood of the "Disciples of Christ." The Campbells, along with Barton W. Stone from the Cane Ridge Church in Bourban County, Kentucky, have left their influence in Bureau County and in our church.
Today:
Our church is alive and well. The congregation is a mix of youth and wisdom that offers an entire spectrum of worship. A friendly atmosphere in a wonderful and historic community makes our church a great place to worship the Lord. The church is constantly involved with numerous activities.
The three levels of our church building are wheelchair accessible via the Main Street entrance (pictured below) and handicapped parking is available nearby. Recent renovations include a lift and accessible restrooms.
